From the moment I reached out to Nikki for my wedding paper after falling in love with her calligraphy style, I knew I got lucky! She somehow made sense of my unclear vision and designed the most beautiful, custom suite of wedding invites and day of paper I’ve ever seen (and I got that same feedback from plenty friends and family members). She is extremely willing to work with you and guide you as much or as little as you want. I just sent her pictures of my wedding inspo and she found a way to tie it all together. Highly recommend getting her calligraphy on envelopes and wherever you can...it’s even more beautiful in person, I can’t stress that enough. If you are concerned about your budget, her prices are totally reasonable, so send in that inquiry!A quick aside…the delivery service (won’t name names), somehow “lost” my wedding paper and Nikki didn’t hesitate to go in on a Saturday morning to deal with the issue and then redo everything and send my order the next day (menus, table numbers, table assignments, place cards, signs). She sent a few special surprises too! She is a true professional.
Choosing Nikki, of Shotgunning For Love Letters, as our wedding calligrapher was one of the best decisions we made! Working with Nikki was a pleasure and from the moment we first spoke I knew I could trust her with my vision. Watching that vision come to life through what Nikki created was so exciting. All of the pieces that Nikki created for us from were so beautiful and we will always treasure them. The map and venue sketch Nikki designed for us hangs in our home and is a constant reminder of our special day.
Nikki was a delight to work with, and her calligraphy products brought a thoughtful, elegant, and personalized element to our wedding décor. My husband and I got married at the Peabody Library, and are huge book lovers. In keeping with that, I knew I wanted the paper products to nod to the look and feel of old books, without feeling too stuffy or “theme.” Nikki was the perfect partner to help execute that vision. She helped design an amazing, minimalist but romantic “leaning books” logo, which we featured on many of paper products. She was easy to Skype with as we did a few rounds of revisions for the invitation suite, day-of products, and thank-you notes. Our guests raved about our invitations (I seriously got several “this the most beautiful I’ve ever seen!” comments). Overall, if you want beautiful design + a creative, thoughtful person to work with who makes the collaboration process fun and easy – go no further!
